Angels of Sculpted Dreams, 'Metamorphosis'

Metamorphosis takes pulse as the transformation of Being takes place, capturing a moment of profound change. Through a tidal flow of motion, Metamorphosis carves a path from reality to the world of dreams and offers a bold new vision of magical connotations that relate to the inner psychological 'transformation of being', powerful and erotic, sensual and divine, forceful and yielding.

'Dreamer's Muse'

The physical dimensions of the earth transcend into the dream world of the divine feminine. Dreamer's Muse, stimulating the subconscious embodiment of desires and dreams, penetrates the ancient knowledge of the mind and spirit. The Muse, the giver of the creative spark, has a profound change on the human potential to awaken our imaginative minds, unbound.

'Warrior's Heart Wish'

This sculpture, created from my imagination, symbolizes the power and strength of a woman warrior, yet the vulnerability of the heart which resides in all of us. The artwork is an expression of female empowerment, healing and nurturing of our sacred world. Through the language of art, I want my voice to help heal repression, exploitation, and suffering of the physical and spiritual darkness of the human race, which is inevitably projected onto our majestic planet earth and each other.

'Malala's Blossom'

Upon reading the book “I am Malala”, I became greatly inspired not only to sculpt Malala Yousafzai's portrait but to also sponsor a girl to go to school. Malala's chronicle of war and her own encounter of terrorism, her fierce fight for girls education and women's equality is one of the bravest and most noble causes in the world.

'Spirit Bound'

The female figure portrayed being bound to a large feather taking ascension to a higher spiritual plane, symbolizes women's independence and freedom. I loved incorporating the ancient symbol VEGVISIR

(that which shows the way), which the Icelandic people used to draw on their ships as a stroke of luck and blessing to find their way home. This sculpture was created to inspire women to stand strong, to find their path navigating through the rough waters of life, as a guide and blessing to find their way.

'Love Manifested Into Being'

The need for creation became reinforced with the birth of my own son and the desire to heal, protect and empower. “Love manifested into being” depicts a dream vision of my own family coming into being. A symbol of unconditional love, immense beauty, protection, guidance and vast responsibility. Our fate, our life, our being - intertwined in each other's hands..

'Gabriela's Roots'

In this artwork, I portrayed a larger than a life-size portrait of a young woman named Gabriela Clesca Vallejo. Gabriela is of half Dominican and half African- Congolese descent and is a proud Canadian citizen. Gabriela has graduated from an International Development and Civil Law at the University of Ottawa. Along with her education, she is also an International model, winning the beauty pageant of Miss Haiti 2019. Her fascinating facial features of mixed race, her immense beauty, and a spark of personality made her the perfect inspiration for this sculpture.

'Dancing Wings'

Many of my sculptures depict female subjects and feminine forms from my own creative visions. When I received a very clear vision of Tina Fontaine, one of the many missing and murdered Aboriginal women in Canada, I knew I had to manifest it into reality. This artwork is a tribute to her and to her grandmother who raised her before she tragically lost her life at the age of fifteen. May this artwork empower and inspire the feminine balance in this world, bring awareness, resolve, renewed hope and healing to those who are affected by all those beautiful young women's lives lost.

'Embrace of Indigenous Wisdom'

This large sculpture relief was created in the year 2012. Inspired by the Ancient Mayan Calendar when I traveled to Mexico, I was fascinated by the different interpretations of its meaning. The Mayans, being one of the most technologically advanced civilizations of their time did not necessarily believe that the world would end in the year 2012. One of the interpretations I came across was that it is rather a transition into a higher level of consciousness through the feminine wisdom and balance in our current time in the world.

'Celtic Goddess Bhride'

This large 10 feet relief sculpture depicts the ancient Celtic Goddess Brigid. Goddess Brigid is portrayed being juxtaposed against her shield decorated with the Celtic Cross. The cross is ornamented in a weaved, braided pattern that symbolizes the circular unity of life. To her left is a celtic animal pattern called 'Cu' or war hound representing loyalty while the bird on her right represents purity. The figure's composition shows her in movement as she carries Brigid's Cross in her right hand and flowers in her left. The cross provides protection against fire and evil and the flowers represent fertility and the coming of spring.
