Denisa Prochazka is a Czech-Canadian artist, living and working in Canada. Denisa attended York University and graduated from O.C.A.D, Toronto, majoring in Sculpture-Installation. She continued her studies in Florence, Italy, where she advanced specializing in figurative sculpture. She felt a deep connection to classical sculpture which has influenced and shaped the direction of her creative path today. Denisa is greatly inspired by Native Spirituality and contemporary as well as ancient Aboriginal Art in Canada and abroad.
"My goal is to explore and recreate symbolic visions of the past consciousness and incorporate them into the present light. Symbolism has the power to transcend the physical into the spiritual realm. My work is an exploration of this journey."
